Joseph C. McDonald is President and CEO of Belimed, Inc . Prior to this, he was the President and COO of BERCHTOLD Corporation, a Charleston-based manufacturer of surgical lighting, electrosurgical products and power boom equipment management systems. Mr. McDonald's 25-year experience in the healthcare industry ranges from managing sales and marketing activities in life science and infection control industries to improving business operations in surgical equipment and services for healthcare and scientific markets. Prior to joining Berchtold, Mr. McDonald held a variety of senior management and leadership positions at Steris Corporation, most recently serving as Corporate Officer and Group President. During his tenure at Steris, he worked with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device market segments, and as Corporate Vice President, Mr. McDonald concentrated on global business development. Mr. McDonald also served a two-year stint in the company's European headquarters, overseeing European and Middle East operations for all business segments. A Pennsylvania native, Mr. McDonald holds a business degree from Gannon University (1978) and completed executive business programs at Columbia University (1996) and University of Chicago (1998).
